Beloit Memorial Hospital Visiting Hours and Regulations

Patients need rest, so it's recommended that only two (2) visitors be in the room at the same time. Also, for the patient's welfare, the Nursing Staff's judgement regarding the number of visitors may be expressed and override the recommendation.

After 8:00 p.m., visitors may only access patient rooms by obtaining a visitor badge from Security at the Emergency Department receptionist desk at the Emergency Department entrance.

• General Nursing Unit Visiting Hours: 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
• In-Patient Rehabilitation Center Visiting Hours:
  • Monday through Friday: 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  • Saturday: 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  • Sunday: 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
• Family Care Center Regulations:
  • The baby's father/the patient's support person may be with the mother anytime during labor.
  • A private room is required for overnight stays on Post-Partum.
• Critical Care Unit Regulations:
  • Immediate family only is recommended.
  • Visits should be limited to fifteen (15) minutes each hour.
  • Please make arrangements with the CCU Nursing Staff.
• Children must be supervised by an adult, and visits should be limited to fifteen (15) minutes.
• Special visiting privileges must be approved by the nurse in charge of the patient's care.
• Visitors and family of patients going to surgery may wait in the surgery waiting room where they will be notified when the patient has arrived in, or has left, the recovery room.
• Overnight visitors are permitted with approval of the Unit Director or Supervisor on duty, and with consent of the roommate.
• If a problem occurs regarding visitors, please notify the appropriate Director or Supervisor on duty. He/she will decide appropriate solution.

Patient telephone service is active 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Each patient in the general nursing units has a direct dial telephone. You may obtain the patient's phone number by calling Patient Information at (608) 364-5108 or we will be happy to connect your call.

Parking is located near the main hospital entrance and the Emergency Department entrance off West Hart Road.

• Valet Parking is offered Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. (excluding holidays.) When you find it difficult to walk from the visitors' parking lot, you may park your vehicle in the loading/unloading area off the main entrance and take your keys to the front desk receptionist for assistance. A volunteer escort will park your vehicle in a specially marked area.

 Dining and Vending Areas
Beloit Memorial Hospital offers two restaurants for on-campus dining.

• West Hart Café Hours: 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Located on third floor.
  ~ Cold foods, all beverages, and soup are available 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
  ~ Hot food is available during the following times:
  • Breakfast: 6:30 a.m. to 9:45 a.m.
  • Lunch: 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
  • Dinner: 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

• VIP Grille Hours: 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday (excluding holidays.) Please note- grilled food items are only available until 3:00 p.m. Located off the main lobby on first floor.
  
• Our Vending Machine Area is available all day, every day and is located on third floor just before you enter the West Hart Café.

"Gifts from the Hart" Gift Shop

Find the perfect gift for a patient or staff member in our online gift shop at www.beloitmemorialhospital.org ~ Even better, stop by and visit "Gifts from the Hart." You'll find many unique items including home décor, apparel, jewelry, and items for newborns and children. Also shop for floral arrangements, specialty candies and foods.

Travel and Lodging

Driving Directions:

• Driving directions from the North: Take I-90/39 East and exit on Avalon Road. Turn right on Avalon Road. At the stoplight, turn left onto County G ( Prairie Avenue.) You will go several miles on this road. Once you are in the 35 mph speed zone, watch for the hospital main entrance sign on the corner of Prairie Avenue and Hart Road (about a block past the second stop light.)
• Driving directions from the South: Take I-90/39 West and exit on Hwy. 81 West going into Beloit. Turn right on Cranston Road (Wal*Mart is on the corner.) At the fourth stop light, turn right on Prairie Avenue (approx. 1.3 miles). Drive one mile and watch for the ShopKo Plaza and Pizza Hut to your right. Hart Road is the first right turn after Pizza Hut.
• Driving directions from the East: Take I-43 S toward Beloit. Turn right on Cranston Road (Wal*Mart is on the corner.) At the fourth stop light, turn right on Prairie Avenue (approx. 1.3 miles). Drive one mile and watch for the ShopKo Plaza and Pizza Hut to your right. Hart Road is the first right turn after Pizza Hut.
• Driving directions from the West: Take WI-213/S WI-213 to W CR-Q/W Beloit-Newark Road. After you go over the bridge, turn left on Riverside Drive/US-51 and then take a quick right on Elmwood Avenue. Drive 1.2 miles and then turn left on Prairie Avenue (CR-G). Go .2 miles and turn right on West Hart Road.

 Motels and Hotels

Beloit Memorial Hospital is within five to fifteen minutes driving time from several hotels/motels located off the Highway 81 West exit off I-90/39, and the Beloit Inn located in downtown Beloit (near the Beloit College campus.) Many offer discounted rates to patients and their families.
